Penelope
Penelope is one of the sweetest most loving Weimaraners I have run across yet. I would not recommend putting her in a home with cats or other small animals, however she seems to do fine with other dogs.

I am glad that I have such a nice place to stay and some food to eat. When
Lilu and Loki found me, I was so skinny they could see my every rib and my
backbone too. They's keeping me now while I look for a forever home. I was
thinking I might just find one here.
I love these humans I am staying with. I love to sneak up behind them and crawl
into their laps. No one has ever loved me before and it's a really good feeling.
Even though the humans do nasty things to me like give me baths and not let me
chew on their shoes, I think they mean it all for my good. And isn't that what
love's about?

Well, it's difficult at times but I'm adjusting to life in a house with
humans and other dogs. I still don't understand why counter surfing is not
allowed. But then, Lilu and Loki have lived here all of their lives and they
tell me there's nothing wrong with counter surfing as long as you do it when mom
and dad aren't looking. Then they yell at you a little but it's worth it for the
tasty tidbits you can find up there. Mom fixed a pot of soup a couple nights ago
and Lilu got it down off the counter for us while mom and dad were watching TV.
Man, that was some good soup.
I'm getting to be less shy and starting to stick up for myself. Hey, if I don't
I'm not gonna get any food. And I've decided that a four-weim pileup can be a
lot of fun.

I'm the sweetest dog in the world...or so I think. But then my opinion could be a little bit biased (but just a little bit.) As much as I love these two humans here, they already belong to Lilu and Loki. I'm looking for a person that will belong with me, and share my opinion that I AM the sweetest dog in the world. I love to curl up in laps, or sneak my head into your way to be petted. Are you my person?

The two humans took Odysseus and I to PetSmart yesterday, and while there I met this really nice lady. She said she wants to be my person! The humans asked her questions about how I would be treated, etc., and the nice lady said I will get to live in her house and even sleep on her bed! She wasn't ready for me yet but she is supposed to call the humans on Wednesday and arrange a time to pick me up. I am SO EXCITED! I feel bad for Odysseus, though. He hasn't found his person yet and he has a tummy ache this morning to top it off. I'll really miss him but I'm glad I'm getting my very own person.

Well, my new mom is picking me up today. I'm so excited! I'll miss the other
dogs but I'm sure there's lots of exciting stuff to do where I'm going. So it
will be my new mom that helps me write my next diary entry.

Well, I have been with my new mom for almost a week. I love it. She loves me
very much. She even lets me sleep in her bed with her every night. She thinks I
am the most wonderful dog in all the world. I have a new special human sister
who's name is Olivia. Olivia looks forward to coming home to me after school
everyday. This is her first time to have a big dog like me. She loves to play
with me. I also have lots of new friends. There are three other dogs that are
still getting use to me. They are little Chihuahuas. Funny looking little
things. Anyway one is a pup who I am very curious about. The other two are nice
but are not really that social. There is a very funny looking creature that
lives there too called a chinchilla. It looks like giant rat. Mom has to cover
her up at night so I will go to sleep. There is rabbit also but mom won't let me
near it. I think she thinks I might hurt it. My favorite thing though is to
chase the cat. Taffy is her name and she lives inside and it so funny to make
her run and hide. Mom doesn't mind. I am always getting lots and lots of
attention and love. Mom has showed me off to everyone she can. She even takes me
places with her. I am very happy at my new home. I have more love love than I
could imagine.
